The Justice Journey Experience is a weeklong pilgrimage to Civil Rights sites in the South with a group from area churches/organizations, representing a mixture of ages, races and economic backgrounds, who learn from the Civil Rights movement, from Christian Justice Leaders, and from one another. It is a discipleship experience unlike any other!

A busload of participants from partnering churches/organizations will travel from Chicago to Nashville, Tennessee, Birmingham, Montgomery and Selma, Alabama, ending the journey in Memphis, where the Rev. Dr. Martin L. King, Jr. was assassinated. A highlight of the weeklong pilgrimage will be a stop at the new National Memorial for Peace and Justice and Justice and the Legacy Museum in Montgomery, which honors those who were killed by lynching and traces the history of African Americans in the U.S. from slavery to today’s mass incarceration.

Date: June 22nd – 27th, 2020
