The Justice Journey Alliance, Leadership Foundation of Chicago (JJALFOC) is honored to be chosen as the Host organization in the City of Chicago for Opal’s Walk For Freedom. On Wednesday, June 19th, at 9am, JJALFOC and organizations in Dallas, Los Angeles, New York, and Tokoyo, Japan will complete the 2.5-mile walk. This event recognizes the 2.5 years it took for the news and enforcement of freedom to reach the enslaved people in Texas.

Walk Route: The walk will start at 31st Beach, head north to 18th St, and return to 31st St Beach.
